Uninstalling

You can turn RelyAI off in two ways: deactivate it to hide every AI surface while keeping all your data, or delete it to remove the plugin and everything it stored. Choose based on whether you might want RelyAI back later.

Deactivate (reversible)

Go to Admin → Plugins and deactivate RelyAI. This keeps all your data intact — your engines, keys, feature flags, conversations and audit history stay in the database. What changes is only what your users see:

  • The RelyAI sidebar group disappears.
  • The chatbox, universal rewrite, subject A/B generator and coaches stop showing.

Re-activate the plugin at any time and everything comes back exactly as you left it. This is the safe choice if you're pausing, testing, or troubleshooting.

Remove all data (irreversible)

Choosing Delete in Admin → Plugins removes the plugin files and drops its ai_* tables. That permanently erases:

  • your engines and settings,
  • your feature flags,
  • every conversation and its messages,
  • the tool-call audit trail,
  • all feedback,
  • the usage/request history, and
  • the agent undo records.

Back up first — this cannot be undone

Deletion is permanent. Note that routine update snapshots do not include the AI history (see Backup and restore), so if you want to keep conversations, audit records or usage data, export them from the observability surfaces before you delete. Once the ai_* tables are dropped, that data is gone.

If you only want to stop RelyAI for now, use Deactivate above instead — it keeps everything.
