Configuration
With RelyAI installed and licensed, this page walks you through first-run configuration in the order that makes sense: connect an engine, choose which capabilities to switch on, set your cost caps and brand voice, and learn where AI appears for your team and customers. Everything lives under the RelyAI group in the AcelleMail sidebar, and every setting is reversible.
For a field-by-field reference of every tab, see the Settings reference.
Connect an engine first
Nothing responds until you connect an AI engine — a provider plus model. Open RelyAI → Settings → Engines & Keys, add your OpenAI, Anthropic or Ollama engine, run Test Connection, and set one as Default. You can add several engines and switch the default at any time. The full provider-by-provider steps live in Connect an engine.
RelyAI → Settings → Engines & Keys
Turn on the features you want
Every AI capability is an on/off switch on RelyAI → Settings → Feature Flags. Some ship on (the support chatbox, universal rewrite, subject A/B generator, the observability dashboards); more powerful ones ship off so you opt in deliberately — the action-taking Agent chat, the automation and campaign tools, and the four coaches. Enable only what your team needs today; you can always turn more on later. See Feature flags and permissions for what each switch does and who it affects.
Set quotas, limits and brand voice
Two more tabs shape how AI behaves:
- Quotas & Limits — per-task rate caps and an optional per-customer daily cap keep costs and provider usage in check. See Quotas, limits and credits.
- Brand Voice and Appearance — set your global tone, forbidden words and voice sample, and choose the chatbox launcher position, theme and glyph. See Brand voice and appearance.
Where AI shows up
Once configured, AI appears throughout AcelleMail: the chatbox bubble in the bottom-right, the sparkle (✦) rewrite popover on selected text, a Suggest button beside the campaign subject field, coach chips on the relevant pages, and "AI Assist" pills where the agent can act. On the admin side, the Usage Dashboard, Conversations, Audit Viewer, Feedback and Self-Improve surfaces record and review every AI action.
