Agent tools

Turn on Agent chat and the RelyAI chatbox stops merely answering questions and starts acting on your AcelleMail. It works through the chatbox and through the AI Assist · … pills that appear on the pages where it can help — so you can always see, on the page itself, what the agent is able to do there. This page walks through what it can do and, just as important, the guardrails around it.

What the agent can do

With the matching capabilities enabled, you can ask the agent to:

  • Read stats — list, subscriber and campaign numbers, so you can ask "how did last week's send do?" and get a straight answer.
  • Import subscribers from a CSV — hand it a file and it brings the contacts into a list.
  • Tag and untag subscribers in bulk — apply or remove a tag across many contacts at once.
  • Create automations from presets — spin up a welcome series, abandoned cart, win-back, birthday or post-purchase flow from a ready-made starting point (look for AI Assist · Automations on the Automations page).
  • Pause or resume campaigns — hold or restart a send.
  • Duplicate templates — copy a template to start a new one.
  • Read and fill fields on the page you're on — the on-page co-pilot can read the current form and, with your confirmation, type values into it for you.

The safety model

The agent is powerful, so it is fenced in on purpose:

  • Destructive actions confirm first. Anything that changes or removes data — pausing a live send, a bulk untag — shows a confirm dialog before it happens.
  • Sensitive fields are never fillable. The on-page co-pilot hard-blocks passwords, card numbers, CVV codes, one-time passcodes and API keys. It will not type into them, full stop.
  • Undo within the window. Most actions are reversible with the inline Undo button (or Cmd+Z) for as long as the undo window stays open.
  • Every call is audited. Each tool call the agent makes is recorded in the Audit Viewer, with its status, timing and a filter for destructive operations.

You opt in, capability by capability

Every one of these abilities is its own feature flag. Several ship off by default because they carry more weight — campaign pause/resume (pausing interrupts a live send), template duplicate, and the automation tools — so the agent starts conservative and you enable more only as you trust it. Reading list stats, importing CSVs and tagging are on by default; you can turn any of them off. Manage the whole set under RelyAI → Settings → Feature Flags.

It never exceeds AcelleMail's own rules

The agent acts as the signed-in user, so it can only do what that user is already permitted to do in AcelleMail. RelyAI's flags narrow that further — they never widen it.
