Licensing
RelyAI is a licensed plugin. Your license unlocks every AI feature, ties the install to your domain, and determines whether you can install new releases. This page explains the two license types, what the license gates, and how to manage your key.
The two license types
| Type | What you get | Updates |
|---|---|---|
| Leased | Works while the license is active. | Updates included for as long as it stays active. |
| Lifetime | Perpetual use of the installed version — you own it forever. | Newer versions need an active Support & Updates plan. |
Your key's prefix tells you which you have: OWNED / LIFETIME keys are perpetual, while LEASED / MONTHLY / ANNUAL / TRIAL / FREE keys are time-limited.
The license-gated feature
The license-gated feature is every AI feature. Until a valid key is Active, AI is disabled: admins are prompted to enter a key and the AI surfaces — chatbox, rewrite, subject A/B, coaches — don't run.
Your key is per-install and domain-bound: it binds this install to its domain (and server IP and install path), is stored encrypted, and is only ever shown masked. The check runs locally in the background, and brief licensing-server outages are tolerated so a momentary blip won't take AI offline. If verification is ever lost, re-activate on the License tab to restore it.

Where to enter and manage your key
Open RelyAI → Settings → License. Paste the key you got from your Relyweb account and click Activate; AI features unlock once it verifies as Active on this domain. The same tab offers:
- Activate — validate and bind a new key to this domain.
- Re-activate — re-verify the current key if the status ever drops.
- Deactivate this license — release the key from this domain (you'll confirm "Deactivate this license on this domain?") so you can move it elsewhere.
The tab also shows your License status, who it's Registered to, the Product, when it was Registered, and the Next due date, alongside your updates entitlement.
