Uninstalling

You can remove GST Manager at any time directly from your Shopify admin.

How to uninstall the app

  1. In Shopify admin, go to Settings → Apps and sales channels.
  2. Find GST Manager in your installed apps list.
  3. Click Uninstall (or Delete).
  4. Select a reason (optional) and confirm the uninstallation.

Once confirmed:

  • Shopify immediately revokes the app's access to your store.
  • Your app subscription is cancelled automatically with no further charges.
  • The cart-page GSTIN block is removed from your storefront immediately.

What happens to your invoice data

  • Existing order data remains on Shopify: All previously stamped GST invoice numbers, tax splits, and customer GSTINs are saved as Shopify Metafields on your orders. They will remain in your store history permanently.
  • App database records are purged: In accordance with Shopify's GDPR compliance rules, all store settings, report archives, and server logs are permanently erased 48 hours after uninstallation.

Download invoices before uninstalling

If you need offline copies of your tax invoices or monthly filing reports, download them before uninstalling:

  1. Go to Apps → GST Manager → Reports → Bulk download.
  2. Download a complete ZIP archive of all past PDF invoices and credit notes.
  3. Generate and export any outstanding GSTR-1 Excel spreadsheets.

Pausing the app without uninstalling

If you want to temporarily stop collecting GSTINs or generating invoices without deleting your configuration:

  1. Disable cart GSTIN block: Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize → App embeds and turn off Collect Customer GST.
  2. Disable email delivery: Go to Apps → GST Manager → Settings → Integrations → Email Delivery and turn off Enable email delivery.

Your settings, sequences, and templates will remain saved for when you are ready to resume.
