What's the difference between the two gateways?
The Razorpay gateway takes one-time invoice payments. The Razorpay Subscription gateway bills recurring plans with automatic renewal via Razorpay Subscriptions. You get both from a single install, sharing the same credentials.
Which payment methods are supported?
Razorpay's checkout covers UPI, credit/debit cards, net banking and wallets — the same methods for one-time and subscription payments.
What currency is supported?
INR only. Only INR-priced plans are eligible, and subscription plans must be priced in INR to be mappable.
Do both gateways share credentials?
Yes. You enter your API Key ID, API Key Secret and an optional Webhook Secret once in Admin → Plugins → Razorpay → Settings, and both gateways use them. See Settings.
How do I switch between test and live?
The environment is chosen by your key prefix — rzp_test_ for test and rzp_live_ for live. There's no sandbox checkbox. To go live, swap your test keys for live keys and re-save Settings; see Going live.
Are my customers' card details stored?
No. Payment details are entered on Razorpay's own checkout — card and other sensitive data never touch your server. Outcomes are confirmed server-side and events are signature-verified.
How are updates delivered?
Manually. There's no in-app auto-updater — download the latest ZIP from your relyweb.co client area and upload it. Your settings are preserved. See Updating.
What happens if my license lapses?
The gateways stop appearing and payment processing is disabled; at checkout a customer sees "Razorpay plugin license is not active. Please contact the administrator." Renew or re-enter your license and re-save Settings to restore them. See Licensing.
Why do I have to map subscription plans?
Razorpay bills recurring cycles against a Razorpay plan, so the Subscription gateway needs to know which Razorpay plan matches your local AcelleMail plan (same currency and amount). You map them once in Admin → Remote Plan Mappings. The direct Razorpay gateway needs no mapping. See Set up subscriptions.
