Set up subscriptions
The Razorpay Subscription gateway bills recurring plans through Razorpay Subscriptions, with automatic renewal each cycle. Unlike the one-time Razorpay gateway — which needs no setup beyond your keys — the subscription gateway only works for plans you've mapped to a matching Razorpay plan. This page walks you through that mapping.
Why mapping is needed
AcelleMail defines your local plan (name, currency, amount, cycle). Razorpay holds its own plan definition. Mapping links the two so Razorpay knows exactly what to charge and when. Without a mapping, the Subscription gateway has nothing to bill against and won't be offered.
Before you start
- Create the plan in Razorpay first, with the same currency and amount as your local plan.
- Razorpay here is INR-only, so both plans must be priced in INR.
Map the plan
1. Open Remote Plan Mappings
Go to Admin → Remote Plan Mappings. This screen lists your local AcelleMail plans alongside the Razorpay plans they can be linked to.
2. Match local to Razorpay
Find your local plan and select the Razorpay plan whose currency and amount match. A mismatch in either won't produce a usable mapping.
3. Click Map
Click Map to link them. The Razorpay Subscription gateway now becomes available for that plan.

What customers see
Once a plan is mapped and INR-priced, subscribers can pick Razorpay Subscription at checkout. They authorize the mandate on Razorpay, then Razorpay auto-charges each cycle and notifies the plugin by webhook. Those subscription callbacks are signature-verified, so renewals are recorded only for genuine events.
Only mapped plans show the gateway
If a plan isn't mapped (or isn't INR-priced), the subscription option reads "Razorpay Subscription — Not available for this plan." Map the plan to fix it. The direct Razorpay gateway needs no mapping and is unaffected.
