Licensing

Your PayGlocal for WHMCS license is what turns the gateway on. It is validated when a payment is made, and the key lives in the gateway's own configuration — there is no separate addon panel to manage. This page explains the two license types, what the license actually unlocks, and where to put your key.

The two license types

You can hold PayGlocal for WHMCS under one of two license types. Both let you run the current version; they differ in how future updates are handled.

License typeWhat you get
LeasedThe module works while your license is active, and updates are included for as long as it stays active. If the lease lapses, you renew to keep using it and receiving updates.
LifetimePerpetual use of the version you're entitled to. Newer versions require active Support & Updates; when that period ends you keep running your current version and renew Support & Updates only when you want the latest release.

The license-gated feature

For PayGlocal, the license gates payment processing itself. While your license is active, customers can pay invoices through PayGlocal's hosted checkout as normal. If the license becomes inactive, payment processing is disabled — new PayGlocal payments won't be taken until the license is active again.

The check runs quietly in the background against relyweb.co. A brief network outage is tolerated, so a momentary blip won't switch payments off. To restore processing after a lapse, renew or re-enter your key and save the gateway settings.

No day-counting

There is no grace-period countdown or offline day-count to track. Keep the license active and payments keep flowing; let it lapse and processing stops until you reactivate.

Where to enter and manage your key

Your key goes straight into the gateway configuration:

  1. Go to Setup → Payment Gateways → PayGlocal.
  2. Paste your key into the License Key field (you receive it from relyweb.co after purchase).
  3. Click Save Changes.

If you ever move the module to a new domain or need to change the key, update the same License Key field and save again.
