# Universal rewrite

Universal rewrite lets you improve almost any text in AcelleMail without leaving the page. Select
some words — a campaign line, a template paragraph, a form label — and a small **sparkle (✦)**
popover appears right next to your selection. Click an intent and RelyAI rewrites the selection in
place. On fields that support it, you'll also see an embeddable **rewrite badge** so you can trigger
the same thing straight from the field.

There's nothing to configure to start using it: the feature is on by default. If it isn't showing
up, an admin can check the **Universal Rewrite** switch on **RelyAI → Settings → Feature Flags** —
turning the feature off hides the popover and badge, and blocks the rewrite from running at all.

## The six intents

When the popover opens, pick what you want the rewrite to do:

| Intent | What you get |
| --- | --- |
| **Improve** | A cleaner, tighter version that keeps your meaning |
| **Shorter** | The same message in fewer words |
| **Expand** | More detail and context added to a thin line |
| **Fix grammar** | Spelling and grammar corrected, wording left alone |
| **Formal** | A more professional, buttoned-up tone |
| **Friendly** | A warmer, more conversational tone |

## How to use it

1. Select the text you want to change.
2. Click the **✦** in the popover (or the rewrite badge on a supported field).
3. Choose an intent.
4. The selected text is replaced in place with the rewrite.

If you don't like the result, just rewrite again with a different intent, or undo your edit as you
normally would in the field.

## It stays on-brand and on-guard

Every rewrite respects your **Brand Voice** — the tone adjectives, forbidden words and voice sample
you set for the whole install — so the output sounds like you, not like a generic model. Rewrites
also pass through the **URL hallucination defence**, so any invalid links the model tries to invent
are stripped or corrected before they land in your copy.
