# Licensing

The Razorpay plugin is licensed per install. This page explains the two license types, what the
license actually gates, and how you enter and manage your key inside AcelleMail.

## The two license types

| Type | What you get | Updates |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Leased** | Works while the license is active. | Updates included for as long as it stays active. |
| **Lifetime** | Perpetual use of the installed version — you own it forever. | Newer versions need an active **Support & Updates** plan. |

## The license-gated feature

Here the license gates **the gateways themselves**. Until your key is **Active**, neither the
**Razorpay** nor the **Razorpay Subscription** gateway appears in **Admin → Payment Gateways**, and
payment processing is disabled.

When the license is valid and you click **Save Settings**, both gateways are **created
automatically** — you never have to add them by hand. Both are **INR-only**: only INR-priced plans
are eligible.

If the license lapses while a customer is at checkout, they see:

> Razorpay plugin license is not active. Please contact the administrator.

## Where to enter and manage your key

Your key lives in **Plugin Settings** (**Admin → Plugins → Razorpay → Settings**), in the **License**
section — there is no separate license tab.

* **License Key** — paste the key from your relyweb.co account. The placeholder reads *"Enter your
license key from relyweb.co"*, and the help text notes: *"The Razorpay gateway will only appear in
Payment Gateway options when a valid license is active."*
* Click **Save Settings** to activate.

A green **Active** badge confirms a valid license. If the key is missing you'll see **Not
configured**; if it was rejected you'll see **Invalid — payment gateway is disabled**.

Status is confirmed by a local background check against relyweb.co. Brief network outages are
tolerated, and checkout is never blocked for a licensing hiccup alone. If the badge slips, re-save
Settings to restore it; if the license has genuinely lapsed, renew it at relyweb.co and re-enter the
key.
