# Customer invoice downloads

GST Manager allows your customers to access their GST invoices directly, eliminating support tickets asking for invoice copies.

## 1. Self-service customer account downloads

Customers can download PDF invoices from their standard Shopify customer account:

* **Download invoice** button appears on the **Orders list** and the **Order detail** page (Starter plan and above).
* **Download credit note** button appears automatically whenever an order has a refund (Pro plan).

### How it works for customers

1. The customer logs into their account on your online store.
2. They click on **Orders** and select their order.
3. In the order actions menu, they click **Download invoice**.
4. The branded GST PDF downloads instantly to their device.

All downloads are authenticated through Shopify, ensuring customers can only access their own invoices.

## 2. Automated email delivery

You can automatically email tax invoices directly to customers when an order is created:

1. In Shopify admin, open **Apps → GST Manager → Settings → Integrations → Email Delivery**.
2. Turn on **Enable email delivery**.
3. Check the documents you want to send automatically:
   * **Send Tax Invoice**
   * **Send Credit Note**
   * **Send Proforma** (for B2B orders)
4. Enter any **BCC email addresses** (e.g. your accounts team) separated by commas.
5. Click **Save**.

### Delivery options

* **Send via GST Manager (Free):** Sends invoices from `invoice@gstmanager.relyweb.co` with no setup needed.
* **Use your own email (Pro):** Connect your own **Resend API key** or custom **SMTP server** to send from your own domain address (e.g. `billing@yourbrand.com`).

## 3. Manual email send from Shopify admin

If a customer asks for a copy via email:

1. In Shopify admin, open the order page.
2. Click **More actions** in the top right.
3. Select **Send mail with GST Manager**.
4. Choose the document type (Tax Invoice, Credit Note, or Proforma) and confirm the recipient email.
5. Click **Send mail**.
