# Updating

The Cashfree gateway is a payment plugin, so updates are **manual** — there is no in-app updater, no
"Check for Updates" button and no automatic download. You fetch the new version yourself and upload it
over the old one. Your saved settings are preserved, so an update is quick and low-risk.

## Download the update

Sign in to your **relyweb.co** client area and open your Cashfree for AcelleMail order. There you'll
find the current release and its changelog — check the changelog first so you know what's changing.
Download the latest package, for example `relyweb-cashfree-vX.Y.Z.zip`.

## Upload it

In AcelleMail, go to **Admin → Plugins → Upload Plugin** and upload the new ZIP. It replaces the
existing files in place. **Your settings are preserved** — the license key, App ID, Secret Key,
Sandbox toggle and any Webhook Secret all carry over, because they live in AcelleMail's database, not
in the plugin files. You do not need to re-enter credentials or re-map plans after an update.

## What updates need (by license type)

Your download entitlement depends on your license:

* **Leased** — while your lease is active it includes Support & Updates, so you can download the
  latest release throughout the term.
* **Lifetime** — includes an initial Support & Updates window. While it's active you get the newest
  releases; after it lapses your existing install keeps working, but downloading newer builds requires
  renewing Support & Updates.

If a download link is unavailable, your Support & Updates period has likely ended — renew it in the
relyweb.co client area. See [Licensing](/cashfree-acellemail/licensing) for the two license types.

## If text shows as a raw key

After an update, a new label may briefly appear as a **raw key** (an untranslated identifier) instead
of readable text. This just means the new translation strings haven't loaded yet. Deactivate the
Cashfree plugin and then reactivate it once, in **Admin → Plugins**, to re-sync translations. The
gateways are re-created automatically on reactivation and your settings stay intact.
